Verify pixel pitch from more than one source. Check the original model label, module label, cabinet drawing and the physical distance between pixel centres. Do not identify pitch only from a front photograph because perspective, camera resolution and image processing can make different products look similar. If the cabinet is 640 × 640 mm, confirm whether that is the complete mechanical size, the LED face size or a nominal cabinet dimension with a frame. For planning, the approximate cabinet pixel count can be calculated as cabinet width in millimetres divided by the pitch, and the same for height. For example, a 640 mm P2.5 cabinet is approximately 256 pixels wide. This is a planning estimate, not a substitute for the manufacturer’s active-pixel drawing. Borders, module gaps, special cabinet structures and non-standard pitches can change the result. Measure several cabinets from different batches. A used inventory may contain visually similar cabinets with different pitches or resolutions. Photograph the labels and record cabinet numbers. If a screen is sold by square metre, also count the actual cabinets and verify that the quoted area matches the physical face, not the shipping or installation opening.
