Yes. Reusing the display does not mean the new site’s electrical protection is automatically suitable. The cabinet, metal structure, controller rack, distribution board and building equipotential system need a reliable protective-earth path designed under local rules. Do not use a signal shield, a thin improvised jumper or a random screw as protective earth. PE and neutral have different functions and must not be joined inside the display without an approved design. Review RCD/RCBO selection, leakage current, circuit allocation and nuisance-trip risk. LED power supplies and long cable runs can create normal leakage, but a trip must never be solved by bypassing protection. Outdoor, temporary-event and long-distance power systems may need a surge-protection review. SPD selection, location, backup protection and earthing connection should be confirmed by the electrician. Keep evidence: distribution-board photos, earth-bonding photos, circuit labels and test records. Stop repeated resets after a protection event and record weather, recent work and the affected zone. Before any cabinet or internal connector work, fully isolate and verify power.
