In after-sales work, the more important question is whether the selected pitch matches the actual viewing distance, content and environment. A display can be technically sharp but uncomfortable when viewed too close. A large screen can be professionally installed but still look poor if a low-resolution video is stretched across it. Pixel-pitch selection should balance viewing distance, content type, ambient light, total area, budget and maintenance requirements.
Pixel pitch is the distance between the centres of adjacent pixels. A smaller value allows more pixels in the same physical area and normally improves close-viewing detail. A P2.5 screen cannot create detail that is missing from a low-resolution source, and a P3.91 rental screen can look excellent at a suitable audience distance with correctly designed content.

Budget should be discussed as a whole-life cost. A smaller pitch can increase pixel count, processor loading, content requirements and replacement cost. A larger pitch may reduce the initial cost but create a closer-viewing limitation or require larger text. Also compare brightness reserve, power, cooling, cabinet weight, spare strategy and service access. When the project has multiple viewing zones, it may be more honest to use different pitches or different content rules than to force one specification everywhere.
Finally, write the acceptance method before the purchase order. State the reference viewing distance, test patterns, brightness mode, content resolution, camera conditions and the visual issues that will be considered normal or unacceptable. This prevents a customer from comparing a bright factory showroom with a dark installation site or comparing an uncompressed source file with a compressed social-media video. A clear test method protects both the customer’s expectation and the supplier’s technical conclusion.
Acceptance should include more than one distant photo. Record full-white, full-gray, black-background text, skin tones and motion. Note the ambient light, viewing distance, camera settings and brightness mode.
