LED display technology improves fast, so last year’s panels cost far less today. For small event companies and organisers with limited budgets, buying brand used LED screens is one of the most cost-effective ways to get proven, stable hardware.
When used makes sense
If you use screens infrequently, are growing into the rental market, or need several configurations, used stock lets you compete on price without sacrificing reliability. Brand panels have years of field data behind them, which reduces the risk of failure compared with unknown low-cost new screens.
What to check before you buy
Look at usage hours versus the manufacturer’s rated lifespan, verify brightness levels (outdoor rental should be above 4500cd/m2), check cabinet size and refresh rate, and always buy from a supplier that inspects, ages and repairs panels before shipping.
