If you have configured LED screens before, you have seen the “650,000 pixels per network port” rule. It comes from the bandwidth of standard Gigabit Ethernet in combination with how LED data is framed.
The maths
A single receiving-card network port carries about 1 Gbps. Each RGB pixel needs 30-60 bits per frame depending on grey level and refresh rate. At common rental settings, that lands at roughly 650,000 pixels per port — or about 65 cabinets of 500x500mm at P3.91.
What it means for your build
Plan your processor, network ports and receiver-card layout so no single port exceeds the limit, and always loop data properly. When in doubt, our team will draw the topology for you before you order.
